In this study the locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type‐I (BI) cosmological model has been investigated in the presence of one dimensional cosmic strings in f ( R , T ) gravity. The exact solutions of the field equations are obtained through the use of constant deceleration parameter [1][M. S. Berman, 1983] and the scalar expansion is proportional to the shear scalar. Considering the accelerating nature of the universe in the present epoch, the physical behavior of the model has been discussed.
