Sound velocities of ammonium nitrate solutions are determined experimentally, with ammonium nitrate concentrations from 25 % to 92 % at initial temperatures from the fudged points to at least 20 °C above. Analytical equations are fitted to the experimental data as well as literature data on densities and specific heats. These equations are used to determine other thermophysical properties such as thermal pressure coefficient and Gruneisen parameter.
