The cover picture shows how HMX particle morphology affects the apparent viscosity of DNAN/HMX melt‐cast explosive suspensions. The spheroidized HMX particles had a much more regular shape than the nonspherical HMX particles. In general, given a certain particle‐size distribution, small particles can fit into the gaps between large particles. However, nonspherical particles will lead to poorer space‐filling than spheroidized particles and thus higher viscosity. More details can be found in the Full Paper by Daoli Zhu, Lin Zhou, and Xiangrong Zhang on page 1583 ff.
