Some further reactions on 1,1‐diamino‐2,2‐dinitroethene (DADNE) were performed in view of a better reactivity understanding. This paper intends to give a global overview of the specific reactivity of DADNE dealing with kinetics, mechanism and structure–reactivity relationship. A general and updated scheme on the specific reactivity of DADNE was subsequently suggested.
