Consideration is given to physical and chemical methods useful for a proceeding time of chemical reactions under compression due to impact and, also, to diffusion‐process peculiarities. Experimental data enable us to conclude that solid‐phase reactions may be accomplished for times of the order 1‐10 μs. The mechanism governing enhanced diffusion rate at the moment of impact has been proposed and experimentally confirmed.
