The pressure‐temperature reaction phase diagram for 1,4‐dinitrocubane (DNC) was determined utilizing optical polarizing microscopy and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy in conjunction with a high pressure diamond anvil cell and the ruby fluorescence method of pressure measurement. A second‐order structural phase transition from α‐DNC to ß‐DNC has been identified and its pressure dependence determined. The transformation is of an order‐disorder type.
