Detonation products of basic explosives like ammonium nitrate, permitted Metanit D 2 and nitroglycerin‐Barbaryt A were analysed for O 2 , CO 2 , CO, CH 4 , H 2 , NO 2 and N 2 and the shotfiring properties studied. The tests were carried out under laboratory conditions and in shotholes drilled underground in the mine, in coal and in stone.
