The empirical formula for the distribution of fragments from rotationally‐symmetric, cylindrical warheads can be extended to the case high explosive shells. The parameters arising from this can be determined by fitting the measured results to the theoretical values. In this work possible methods of performing such a fitting procedure are discussed.
