In the pan‐European DiOGenes study; a cohort of nearly 500 overweight subjects underwent a low‐calorie meal replacement diet intervention, followed by a weight maintenance period. Plasma samples before and after the study were analysed using mass spectrometry and a differential proteome analysis was performed, also highlighting protein associations with clinical relevant variables such as BMI, HOMA, Matsuda, and fat mass. This is reported by Sergio Oller Moreno, Ornella Cominetti, Antonio Núñez Galindo, Irina Irincheeva, John Corthésy, Arne Astrup, Wim H.M. Saris, Jörg Hager, Martin Kussmann and Loïc Dayon, article number 1600150.
