Foreword

The International Congress of Pediatric Pulmonology (CIPP) is the only international meeting devoted exclusively to paediatric respiratory medicine. Over the period of more than two decades, CIPP has acquired a reputation among practicing paediatricians and clinical academics as the premiere forum for sharing the new information in all areas of paediatric pulmonology. Through our continuing partnership with Pediatric Pulmonology, the abstracts of important research that will be presented in the 16 International Congress of Pediatric Pulmonology (CIPP XVI) in Lisbon, Portugal (June 2017) will reach a wider audience. The presentations cover a broad range of paediatric respiratory disorders, such as asthma and respiratory allergies, respiratory infections and their complications, neonatal lung diseases and their outcomes, cystic fibrosis, sleep disorders, critical care, rare lung diseases etc., with cutting edge information which is relevant to both clinical and academic communities.
