We report on a 20‐month‐old infant with a complicated lung and liver abscess caused by Pasteurella multocida after the child had been in close contact with a domestic cat. Surgical drainage confirmed lung and liver abscesses connected to each other, with involvement of the diaphragm. Pediatr Pulmonol. © 2006 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
