On page 740, L. D. Carlos, R. A. S. Ferreira, and co‐workers describe luminescent thermometers based on silicon nanoparticles. By using the thermal dependence of the emission‐peak position as readout, a self‐calibrating thermometer is achieved. The approach shows promise for biophotonics, nanophotonics, photon conversion, and multimodal bioimaging.
