A photonic glass composed of monodisperse silica spheres is stepwise infiltrated with additional conformal layers of silica, by using chemical vapor deposition. It is shown that for a small infiltration degree, the resonant features of the glass are preserved. The possibility of modifying the light‐transport mean free path in the sample is further discussed, with an approximately tenfold increase being reported.
