Coloring of polystyrene : Polystyrene nanoparticles assembled on graphene functionalized with polymers can stably be dispersed in water, ethanol, methanol, and polyethylene glycol with a lightful blue. The nanoparticles can also change from blue to white very quickly when trace benzene (1.0 ng mL −1 ) exists, which would have a potential application in benzene detection by the naked eye.
