Using double emulsions combined with solgel chemistry, new multi‐compartimented Wax/Water@SiO 2 capsules have been synthesized, and are presented by Rénal Backov and co‐workers. Their multi‐compartmentalization allows the encapsulation of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic adjuvant, while a surrounding silica shell is offering confinement. The release of their contents is triggered by a thermal stimulus that swollen the wax through melting inducing thereby the rupture of the protecting silica shell.
