Inside Front Cover : The interaction of plasma streamers with material surfaces made of different structures is of outmost importance for various applications. However, the discharge characteristics are found to be completely different for positive and negative streamers. Negative surface streamer develops along the dielectric surface, while the positive surface streamer floatingly develops above the dielectric; Comparing to positive streamer, negative streamer can propagate into much smaller dielectric pores.
