Inside Front Cover : Efficacy of cold plasma treatment in a paddy field on the growth and yield of rice plants is verified. Direct irradiations of shoot meristem with plasma during the vegetative stage was effective for the plant growth, yield and grain quality. In contrast, indirect treatment with plasma‐activated Ringer's lactate solution improved the growth of the main stem and the quality of grain but decreased the yield of the whole plant.
