Back Cover: A gas‐liquid DC discharge with Ar as the carrier gas is investigated and applied to inactivation of microorganism. The OH and atomic oxygen radicals are supposed to play the effective role in the plasma inactivation process. The plasma‐treated water retains the inactivation effect on bacteria for a long time which can be attributed to the synergistic effects of the plasma‐induced chemical species.
