In their article on page 368, Jing Zhao and colleagues reported the formation mechanism of hybrid cylindrite in isotactic polypropylene/carbon fiber (iPP/CF) via pulling a CF within the iPP melt. The α‐row nuclei layer attached intimately to the surface of CF acts as a self‐nucleation site rather than heterogeneous nucleation. The correlation between the α‐row nuclei and shear‐induced iPP/CF cylindrites (pure α‐cylindrite, mixed α/β cylindrite, and β‐rich cylindrite) was systematically established by comparing their microstructures in detail. Furthermore, it was concluded that the polymorphism of cylindrite is strongly dependent on the orientation and packing density of fibril lamellae in the α‐row nuclei. (DOI: 10.1002/polb.24790 )
