Photovoltaic elastomer gels prepared from midblock‐sulfonated pentablock ionomers afford tremendous promise as hydrogel‐type photovoltaic devices possessing excellent mechanical properties. The performance‐governing morphologies of these nanostructured materials can be templated by the casting solvent and further modified through the use of either solvent‐vapor annealing or liquid immersion. On page 85 (DOI: 10.1002/polb.24242 ), Richard J. Spontak and colleagues examine the morphological characteristics that influence photovoltaic performance to establish beneficial structure‐property relationships for this relatively new class of soft functional materials.
