A soft transient Li‐ion battery based on polymeric constituents is presented on page 2021 (DOI: 10.1002/polb.24113 ) by Reza Montazami and colleagues. The battery has a terminal voltage twice as high as that reported in the literature for transient batteries. The battery takes advantage of active materials used in conventional Li‐ion batteries and can achieve and maintain a potential of >2.5 V. All materials are deposited from polymer‐based emulsions; the transiency is achieved through physical‐chemical hybrid transiency mechanism, which utilizes physical redispersion of insoluble materials and chemical dissolution of soluble components. The transiency time for the battery is approximately 30 minutes.
