On page 1950 (DOI: 10.1002/polb.24100 ), Satoshi Tsukuda and colleagues fabricate hydrogel nanowires based on poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) and N,N′‐methylenebis(acrylamide) (MBA) using a single particle nanofabrication technique (SPNT). The PVP/MBA hydrogel nanowires, which consisted of cross‐linked networks with inhomogeneous cross‐linking points at the cross‐section, exhibit anisotropic swelling along the length direction and radius in aqueous environments. The swelling behavior of the nanowires is investigated by AFM measurement in air and in water. In addition, the model of distribution of crosslinks at the cross‐section of the nanowires is suggested.
