Nonisocyanate, segmented, nanophase‐separated polyhydroxyurethane (PHU) was synthesized via cyclic carbonate aminolysis. The hydroxyl groups were functionalized with small molecules, and the properties of PHUs before and after functionalization were characterized. Functionalization of hydroxyl groups eliminates nanophase separation.
