On page 735 (DOI: 10.1002/pola.27923 ), Fang Guo, Bai Wang, Hongwei Ma, Tingting Li, and Yang Li discuss the synthesis of Si–H‐containing syndiotactic polystyrene by the direct polymerization of 4‐vinyiphenyldimethylsilanol in the presence of a half‐sandwich scandium catalyst system [(C 5 Me 4 SiMe 3 )Sc(CH 2 C 6 H 4 NMe 2 ‐ o ) 2 ]/[Ph 3 C][B(C 6 F 5 ) 4 ]. Using this one‐step, efficient hydrosilylation reaction, the perylene bisimide units were quantitatively linked to the Si–H‐containing syndiotactic polystyrene backbone. The perylene bisimide units functionalized syndiotactic polystyrene exhibits liquid crystallinity, fluorescence, and electron transport properties.
