The cover image from Stanford, Evans, and colleagues for the article on page 745 presents the reaction of certain conducting polymers with select anions in water. Anions that break the hydrogen bonding structure of water induce reactions with certain conducting polymers, inducing oxygenation of the polymer backbone.
