In the work by Kai Zhang and colleagues on page 170, multifunctional and fluorescent cellulose‐derived glycopolymers with pendant mannose, fluorescent coumarin and rhodamine moieties are synthesized via two‐step photo‐/thermo‐initiated thiol‐ene click reactions. Uniform nanoparticles of obtained fluorescent glycopolymers are formed in diverse aqueous solutions, showing accessibility of mannose groups to boronic acids in highly alkaline solutions and strong fluorescence under UV irradiation of 320‐400 nm.
