The boron atom of borate ester‐grafted carboxylated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber ( XNBR ‐ g ‐ BE ) receives electron pairs from ClO 4 − anions and facilitates quite well the dissolution of LiClO 4 salt in the XNBR ‐ g ‐ BE matrix.
