Oriented scaffolds of biodegradable poly(glycerol sebacate)/poly( l ‐lactic acid) core/shell fibres have been fabricated using core/shell electrospinning with a rotating mandrel at (a) 0 rpm and (b) 2000 rpm. The increased fibre alignment in the nonlinearly elastic fibre mats improved the modulus, ultimate tensile strength and elongation.
