Methacryl‐2,3,4,6‐tetra‐ O ‐acetyl‐ d ‐glucopyranoside‐based homopolymer and poly(ethylene oxide) ( PEO ) segmented diblock copolymer were synthesized and their characteristics before and after deacetylation were investigated. The biocompatibility of the diblock copolymer with osteoblast cells was improved by introducing PEO segment to the glycopolymer block.
