Five mass spectrometry methods and 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR analyses showed that the biomedical elastomer poly(xylitol sebacate) consists of 1‐acyl, 1,5‐diacyl and 2‐acyl substitutions. This was compared with poly(glycerol sebacate).
