Polymer‐fullerene bulk heterojonction ( BHJ ) photovoltaic solar cells may contain a third component solid‐state material in the active layer enabling to enhance photon harvesting, to increase the power conversion efficiency, to engineer the BHJ at the nanoscale, to facilitate an easy access to the optimal morphology of BHJ and eventually to stabilize device performances.
