Pentafluorostyrene and related monomers have been polymerized by atom transfer radical polymerization to provide an abundance of functional copolymers with attractive properties. Polypentafluorostyrene can additionally be employed in post‐functionalizations by exploiting aromatic nucleophilic substitution or ‘click’ reactions furnishing novel intriguing functional materials.
