This special issue is dedicated to the current and rapidly growing polymer research in Korea. The isue contains a grouping of typical research studies from Korea. The set is not inclusive, as there are many fine additional research programs under way in Korea. A brief history and comments on several aspects of Korean polymer research may provide a perspective.
