The problem of steady solidification of a power law fluid flowing in a round tube was solved numerically. The fluid considered was a polymer with temperature dependent viscosity. The mathematical solution was obtained by using an implicit finite difference method. Results are presented to show the effects of the Peclet number, Nahme number, and the power law index on the profiles of the frozen layer. Melt temperature profiles at different axial locations are also presented.
