Equations of state for polymers above and below the glass transition temperature are derived. Comparisons of the predicted P ‐ V ‐ T relations with the experiment are quite favorable. From the obtained equations, both the Anderson‐Grüneisen constant and the Grüneisen constant can be determined, and the Tait equation is derived.
