Oriented poly(aryletherketone) (PEEK) rods have been produced by drawing isotropic polymer through a conical die. Room temperature Young's moduli were measured by three‐point bending and ranged from 5 GPa at a draw ratio of about 2 to 11 GPa at a draw ratio of about 4. Dynamic mechanical properties were explored in the range −150 to 200°C; two loss peaks were observed, with the higher corresponding to T g .
