Polymer melt devolatilization (DV) was studied using a single‐screw extruder with extruder RPM and polymer flow‐rate as the key parameters varied. DV efficiency was studied at atmospheric pressure under nitrogen and also at reduced pressure. Preliminary results are applied to current mathematical models.
