Published results on dynamic fracture toughness vs crack velocity relations of polyester resin (Homalite‐100), epoxy resin Araldite‐B, modified epoxy resins and polycarbonate are reviewed. Commonality between the seemingly diversified experimental results as well as the existences of minimum dynamic fracture toughness, K Im , and crack arrest stress intensity factor, K Ia , as inherent material properties are discussed.
