Current industry trends toward increasing automation, as well as increased flexibility in material selection have focused a strong spot light on thermoset injection molding. The growth of thermoset injection molding is reviewed comparatively with the technical history and growth of thermoplastic injection. The progress we see to date and the promise for the future in material characteristics and properties, mold design features, equipment features, changing concepts and new thoughts are discussed.
