The March 2015 issue of PsyCh Journal is a special collection of contributions coming out of the International Symposium on the Psychology of Aging held in Beijing, China, in August 2014. Review papers from two internationally renowned keynote speakers at the symposium are featured: Pim Cuijpers on evidence‐based preventive interventions for depressive disorder in older adults, and Bob Knight on the possibility of mood‐coupled cognitive biases among older adults serving as a predictor for responsiveness to cognitive behavior therapy. Three empirical studies from relatively young and active labs round out the collection: an examination from Hong Kong on age differences in the modulation of family/work commitment with regard to the relationship between family/work conflict and family/work satisfaction, a study from Beijing of interpretive bias in older adults with depressive symptoms regarding facial expressions lying ambiguously between happy and sad, and an attempt from the U.S. to evaluate a means for quantifying the intensity of prescribed and delivered aerobic exercise in patients with mild‐to‐moderate Alzheimer’s Disease.
