Isocratic and gradient elution high performance liquid chromatographic techniques are compared for separating different methylated and isoprenylated flavonols. The identification of individual flavonols from their isomers, based on retention times, thin layer chromatographic data and ultraviolet spectroscopy is discussed. These data are provided for 23 kaempferol, quercetin and myricetin O ‐methyl ethers, for seven C ‐methyl ethers and 15 isoprenylated derivatives.
