A method is described which utilizes solvent extraction and preparative thin layer chromatography to isolate triacylglycerols from the seeds of the Genuine Honeysuckle ( Lonicéra caprifolium L.). Preparative liquid chromatography in conjunction with gas chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography with light‐scattering detection were further used to characterize the pattern of molecular species of the triacylglycerols.
