Acrylated and methacrylated resins of multifunctional epoxy resin of 2,4,6‐ tris (4‐hydroxyphenyl)‐1‐3‐5‐triazine (ETPAA/ETPMA) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, NMR, and thermal techniques. Jute and glass composites of styrenated vinyl esters have been prepared by hand layup technique and characterized for their mechanical and electrical properties. Vinyl esters possess high solubility in common solvents and good thermal stability. Jute and glass composites ETPAASt and ETPMASt possess fairly good mechanical and electrical properties and excellent chemical resistance against harsh environmental conditions. Composites may be useful for low load bearing housing units and in electrical and electronic applications as well as in marine applications. POLYM.
