We prepared microcapsules through an organic solvent‐free interfacial polymerization method, which avoids the release of volatile organic compounds arising from conventional interfacial polymerization methods for microencapsulation. These microcapsules have single and narrow particle size distribution and are spherical pellets with smooth and intact shell, and own excellent biodegradability. Additionally, these biodegradable microcapsules have a higher encapsulation efficiency compared with the microcapsules prepared through conventional interfacial polymerization method and possess sustained and controlled release of core materials.
