This report deals with Theory of Porous Media (TPM) calculations, which take the accelerations into account. Two concepts for a simplified binary model considering accelerations as well as the question when to include accelerations are discussed with the help of two numerical one dimensional examples. After a brief description of the basic equations, an infinite half space, presenting porous soil filled with water, with two distinct spatially constant load cases is simulated, showing the advantages and disadvantages of the approaches.
