Industrial dry spinning processes are crucially determined by the interaction of the spun fibers with the surrounding airflow as well as the radial effects of the fiber quantities due to solvent evaporation. To achieve computability for a large number of fibers the numerical simulation of the latter has to be very efficient. We present a suitable solution algorithm based on the product integration method. Thereby, accuracy and stability of the underlying quadrature formulas are discussed.
