In this contribution the macroscopic behaviour of additively manufactured Inconel 718 will be identified using a crystal plasticity model on the meso‐level. The experimentally observed grain structures will be used to generate a representative volume element. Based on this RVE macroscopic mechanical parameters will be identified and compared with experimental results. (© 2016 Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
