A new approach for solving optimal control problem with state constraints is introduced. Therein a combination of direct and indirect methods enables the determination of numerical solutions of the problem. As a motivating task the trajectory optimization of a novel feed unit is investigated. As the mechanism contains compliances, small disturbances have to be taken into consideration, this is done by introducing a penalty term to the objective function.
