With methods of hydrodynamical potential theory we construct a solution of the Stokes resolvent equations in 2 d exterior domains with C 1,α ‐boundaries, 0 < α ≤ 1. The resulting system of boundary integral equations is uniquely solvable for small resolvent parameter λ and allows the limiting procedure λ → 0. (© 2014 Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
