In line with our formerly presented continuum micromechanical model [4,5] of the laminate microstructure of martensite, we here modify and reformulate the model to further its simplicity and clarity. The basic postulates are slightly altered. However, the approach remains the same, namely the kinematic assumption of nearly‐planar laminate geometry put into an energy minimization framework with proper ansatzes of twin‐interface and boundary energies.
